Transgender people will no longer be able to compete in female sports competitions, the World Athletics Council has ruled. From April on, any athlete who has been through male puberty will not be allowed to compete in womenโs track and field events, regardless of their current hormonal levels.
โThe Council has agreed to exclude male or female transgender athletes who have been through male puberty from female world ranking competitions from March 31 this year,โ said Sebastian Coe, the head of the organization, at a press-conference on Thursday....

A stainless steel willow tree is being installed in Sheffield, in what officials are calling a โmeaningfulโ tribute to those who perished, as well as emergency workers who toiled during the countryโs long lockdowns.
โCovid affected everyone, and we have taken this project seriously to reflect people's experiences,โ architect George King said. โA willow has a strong trunk, which symbolises how people worked together to create the strength needed at such a difficult time,โ adding the effects of the virus will โlast a lifetime.โ

A man was transported to Britain to be exploited for his kidney by former deputy president of the Nigerian senate Ike Ekweremadu, his wife, Beatrice, daughter Sonia, and Dr Obinna Obeta, an Old Bailey jury found.
The group falsely presented the unnamed man as a cousin so that medics would carry out an ยฃ80,000 transplant after the victim was offered an illegal payment to donate his organ to the senatorโs daughter who suffered from kidney disease.
The Ekweremadus and Obeta treated the man as โdisposable assets โ spare parts for reward,โ prosecutor Hugh Davies KC told the court, entering into โan emotionally cold commercial transactionโ with him and other potential donors.
