The Eight-Year-Oldโ€™s Iraq

Twenty years after the Iraq invasion: It was the last period of true optimism, with a sense that somewhere in the unknown unknowns we would meet destiny.

By Jude RUSSO

Iwas an avid supporter of the Iraq invasion in 2003. I believed that Saddam Hussein was a tyrant and a danger to American interests; I believed that, as a civilization, we had a God-given mission to the world, helping those weโ€™ve subdued and warring down the still-arrogant. We beat Nazism; we beat communism; now it was time to beat radical Islam (although the โ€œradicalโ€ got left out as often as not in those heady days), or, as the real connoisseurs will remember it, Islamofascism. As a Christian, an American, and a Republican, I was all-in on...

Strategic Culture Foundation (RSS)

By Jake JOHNSON

In a follow-up to his explosive story accusing U.S. President Joe Biden of ordering the sabotage of the Nord Stream pipelines, veteran U.S. journalist Seymour Hersh charged Wednesday that the White House โ€” in collaboration with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz โ€” is attempting a โ€œcover-up of its operationโ€ by โ€œfeedingโ€ false alternative narratives to the press, most prominently The New York Times.

Hershโ€™s initial reporting, which was based on a...

The World Athletics Council says it will continue to โ€œmaintain fairnessโ€ for women in sports

Transgender people will no longer be able to compete in female sports competitions, the World Athletics Council has ruled. From April on, any athlete who has been through male puberty will not be allowed to compete in womenโ€™s track and field events, regardless of their current hormonal levels.

โ€œThe Council has agreed to exclude male or female transgender athletes who have been through male puberty from female world ranking competitions from March 31 this year,โ€ said Sebastian Coe, the head of the organization, at a press-conference on Thursday....

Police clashed with over a million demonstrators opposed to President Macronโ€™s pension reform

French authorities struggled on Thursday to suppress the protests against President Emmanuel Macronโ€™s pension reform. Over a million demonstrators took to the streets across the country in what some security sources described as an โ€œinsurrectionโ€ against the government in Paris.

UK Unveils Covid Memorial Tree

A stainless steel willow tree is being installed in Sheffield, in what officials are calling a โ€œmeaningfulโ€ tribute to those who perished, as well as emergency workers who toiled during the countryโ€™s long lockdowns.

โ€œCovid affected everyone, and we have taken this project seriously to reflect people's experiences,โ€ architect George King said. โ€œA willow has a strong trunk, which symbolises how people worked together to create the strength needed at such a difficult time,โ€ adding the effects of the virus will โ€œlast a lifetime.โ€

Organ-Trafficking Nigerian Politician Found Guilty Under UKโ€™s Modern Slavery Act

A man was transported to Britain to be exploited for his kidney by former deputy president of the Nigerian senate Ike Ekweremadu, his wife, Beatrice, daughter Sonia, and Dr Obinna Obeta, an Old Bailey jury found.

The group falsely presented the unnamed man as a cousin so that medics would carry out an ยฃ80,000 transplant after the victim was offered an illegal payment to donate his organ to the senatorโ€™s daughter who suffered from kidney disease.

The Ekweremadus and Obeta treated the man as โ€œdisposable assets โ€“ spare parts for reward,โ€ prosecutor Hugh Davies KC told the court, entering into โ€œan emotionally cold commercial transactionโ€ with him and other potential donors.
