Pyongyang blasted Washingtonโ€™s UN envoy as โ€œa pawn of the Evil Empireโ€ after she urged the DPRK to give up its nuclear arsenal

North Korea has said that any attempt to force it to abandon its nuclear weapons would trigger a harsh response, invoking a recently updated policy governing the use of the atom bomb in the event of a major threat.

In comments carried by the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on Wednesday, senior Foreign Ministry official Jo Chol-su took aim at the USโ€™ United Nations Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, who urged the international body to adopt a measure seeking to compel Pyongyang to get rid of its nu...

No Signs Of Russian Oil Production Cut โ€” Media

According to Bloomberg, shipments of Russian seaborne crude declined last week, but there is no evidence that Moscow is implementing a 500,000 barrels-a-day output cut scheduled for March.

Volumes of oil destined for China, India, and Tรผrkiye โ€“ nations that have not joined Western sanctions โ€“ and cargoes that have not yet confirmed their endpoint slumped by 90,000 barrels a day (bpd) to 3.23 million in the seven days to March 17.

Even with reduced shipments, however, thereโ€™s little sign that Russia has slashed oil production, the outlet reported, noting that the countryโ€™s storage tanks have topped 15 million barrels for the first time since last April.

Another 50 US Banks Could Fail โ€” Ex-Lehman VP

The banking crisis could swallow another 50 regional lenders in the US if the countryโ€™s authorities don't take appropriate steps to resolve structural issues, a former vice-president at Lehman Brothers, Lawrence McDonald, has said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

The collapse of Lehman Brothers, which caused funding markets to seize up and made it hard for global lenders to get a hold of US dollars, marked the beginning of the global financial crisis in 2008.

According to McDonald, the current problems challenging the US banking sector are very similar to those preceding the infamous collapse of the financial giant. McDonald said the US authorities would have to boost deposit guarantees compared to the existing ones heavily.

Putin and Xi Standing Firm on the Right Side of History
Strategic Culture Foundation (RSS)

The world is changing before our eyes. Western imperialist regimes are being exposed for the warmongers they are, and a new multipolar order of partnership and peace is emerging.

The historic summit this week between the Russian and Chinese leaders provoked paroxysms of angst in the Western media. President Vladimir Putinโ€™s hosting of Chinaโ€™s Xi Jinping in Moscow was presented as the โ€œworldโ€™s two most prominent autocratsโ€ purportedly establishing a hostile โ€œanti-West axisโ€.

The American and European media โ€“ slavishly echoing the talking points of their imperialist regimes โ€“ were in hyper-bogeyman mode. The meeting of Putin and Xi wa...
