Nicki Minaj, the bestselling pop star, has been accused of spreading misinformation about vaccines after making an unsubstantiated claim that a family friend became impotent following the jab.

The rapper, who has sold more than 100 million records, revealed that she is unvaccinated and did not attend last nightโ€™s Met Gala. Guests at the gala, a glamorous event in New York known as fashionโ€™s biggest night, were thought to be required to be fully vaccinated to attend.

THE HSE HAS spent over โ‚ฌ480 million on Covid-19 tests and testing centres throughout the pandemic.

Additionally, the health service has purchased two million โ€œI got my Covid-19 vaccineโ€ badges at a cost of โ‚ฌ320,000.

Since March 2020, the State has provided free PCR tests to individuals to identify cases of the virus.

By the end of that month, more than 30,000 tests had been carried out as health officials tried to curb the initial spread of Covid-19.

But as the incidence of the virus continued to grow, so did the level of testing, with more than seven million tests completed around the country to date.

More bad news.

Retail giant Marks & Spencer has been forced to cut 800 lines from its stores in the Republic of Ireland, including items like free-range chicken, orchids or goods containing Parmesan Reggiano.

The changes are a result of complex rules and excessive paperwork caused by Brexit.

The store has also said it will close 11 of its stores in France due to fresh and chilled food supply issues following Brexit.

People in Wales will have to show a Covid-19 pass to confirm their vaccine status, or a negative test, to enter nightclubs and attend events from next month.

The Welsh Government said it was introducing the measure to help reduce the spread of coronavirus - as rates reach "very high levels" in the country.
