"Health Canada is redacting their advice not to use a certain brand of graphene-containing face masks, citing reviewed evidence backing the masks' safety, it was announced Tuesday.
Four models of masks from the manufacturer Shandong Shengquan New Materials Co. Ltd. (SSNM) โ as well as numerous models from other manufacturers โ were recalled in late March because of their graphene oxide-coating. It was thought at the time that masks containing graphene, a substance linked to lung disease, may be harmful to the wearer.
Now, Health Canada has asserted that โbiomass graphene particles are not shed from [SSNM] masks in quantities that are likely to cause adverse lung effects,โ according to a press release.

A DUBLIN RESTAURANT that paid one of its employees with a bucket of five-cent coins did not comply with payment and legal tender legislation, an employment law specialist has said.
Rian Keogh was paid โฌ355 in five-cent coins by Alfieโs Restaurant in the Dublin city centre this week, several weeks after the student finished working for the establishment.
Keogh said he was waiting for his final pay before Alfieโs owner Niall McMahon told him it was ready to be collected at the premises on South William Street.
When he arrived to get the money, the third year UCD student said he was taken aback to find that the money was being paid entirely in five-cent coins in a large bucket, amounting to around 7,100 coins.

ITALIAN WORKERS IN both the public and private sector will have to display a health pass to access their workplaces from 15 October under a decree issued by Premier Mario Draghiโs coalition government.
The measures are the first by a major European economy to require proof of vaccination, a recent negative virus test or recovery from Covid-19 in the previous six months for all categories of workers.
โThe Green Pass is an instrument of freedom, that will help us make workplaces safer,โ Health Minister Roberto Speranza told a press conference. โThe second reason is to reinforce our vaccine campaign.โ
