Answer: Always 1 day.

Why is this done?
This is done for those who rented for 1 month, for example, but do not remember the exact end date.
This feature will keep the rental "afloat" until your return.

If you see notifications like Failed to retrieve proxy data or Proxy connection failed when checking proxies / launching a profile in OctoBrowser, you can verify your proxy connectivity using the system utility curl to test connection to the proxy and the target web resource.

If you are using a proxy working via SOCKS5 protocol (our default option), follow these steps:

🔹 Build the correct command for the `curl` utility:
curl -x protocol://host:port -U login:password https://app.octobrowser.net/api/v3/health

🔹 Replace the placeholders with your actual proxy details. Below are examples of how to do this correctly.

Your proxy:

Corresponding command:
curl -x socks5h://192.168.0.104:50000 -U login:password https://app.octobrowser.net/api/v3/health

✅ After building the command:

1. Open Terminal / CMD on your operating system.
• Windows: Type CMD in the search bar and press Enter.
• macOS/Linux: Type Terminal in Spotlight or applications menu.

2. Paste your command and press Enter .

✅ If the terminal returns `OK`, but the proxy still fails validation in OctoBrowser:
→ Contact OctoBrowser Support:
→ Provide:
• Screenshot of the successful curl command output
• Screenshot of the error notification from OctoBrowser client

✅ If the terminal returns an `ERROR` after running the command:
→ Contact our Technical Support
→ Provide: Screenshot of the curl command output with the error message

Если вы используете прокси, работающий по протоколам SOCKS5 (наш вариант), выполните следующие шаги:

Сформируйте правильную команду для системной программы curl:
curl -x protocol://host:port -U login:password https://app.octobrowser.net/api/v3/health

В эту команду требуется подставить данные вашего прокси. Ниже мы приведем несколько примеров, как это правильно сделать.

Примеры команд
Ваш прокси:

✅ После формирования команды:
1. Откройте терминал/CMD в вашей операционной системе.
Для этого в строке поиска вашей операционной системы введите CMD (для Windows) или Terminal (для macOS/Linux).
2. Вставьте вашу команду и нажмите Enter.

✅ Если ответ в терминале OK, но прокси в Octo Browser не проходит проверку, свяжитесь со Службой поддержки браузера и предоставьте скриншот выполнения команды и уведомления из клиента Octo Browser после выполнения команды.

✅ Если в терминале будет ОШИБКА после выполнения команды, свяжитесь с нашей технической поддержкой и предоставьте им скриншот выполнения команды.

1. Чтобы не писать в поддержку с очередной проблемой, о том, что прокси очень медленный или его локация не соответствует, советуем всем - арендовать на 1 час, проверять и только если Вас всё устроило, то докупать необходимый срок.

2. Если не уверены в геолокации прокси:
1. Используем кнопку «показать IP».
2. Копируем и проверяем там, где удобно, либо используем нашу функцию(в правом верхнем углу вэб приложения) «Проверить прокси».

3. В случае, если Вы на 100% уверены, что прокси не работает - необходимо воспользоваться кнопкой «возврат» в истории покупок либо попробовать добавить несколько часов/дней (в некоторых случаях это помогает снова «оживить» соединение).
Техническая поддержка рассматривает вопросы отмены покупок ТОЛЬКО на ордеры сроком от 7 дней и только по уважительной причине!

4. Резидентские прокси - это прокси развернутые на реальных устройствах со всего мира.
Их стабильность, скорость соединения и прочие влияющие на работу параметры зависят ТОЛЬКО от самих устройств, на которых они развернуты.
Никто технически не может повлиять на их работу извне.
Не оплатили интернет - прокси не работают.
Обновили прошивку - прокси не работают.
Выключили электричество - прокси не работают.

Technical support considers canceling purchases ONLY for orders for a period of 7 days or more and only for a good reason!

4. Residential proxies are proxies deployed on real devices from all over the world.
Their stability, connection speed, and other performance-related parameters depend ONLY on the devices they are deployed on.
Technically, no one can influence their work from the outside.
You have not paid for the Internet proxy is not working.
Updated the firmware - the proxy is not working.
The electricity was turned off - the proxy is not working.
