طراحی مولد یک فرایند طراحی تکرار شونده است که به وسیله ی برنامه ای ، تعداد مشخصی از خروجی ها را بر اساس محدودیت های تعریف شده برآورد می کند ، این فرآیند بر اساس مدل های تصمیم گیری داده-محور تعریف شده توسط طراح ، این امکان را ایجاد کرده که بهینه سازی فرم و عملکرد در محدوده های مشخص، گزینه های مناسب را محاسبه و نمایش دهد .

تخصیص فضای مجزی و تاکید بر این قابلیت جدید نرم افزار رویت حاکی از اهمیت اتودسک و ورود جدی تر آن به عرصه Computational Design و در مرحله بعد Generative Design و رقابت با بستر های مشابه می باشد . البته در نسخه های قبلی و با اضافه شدن داینامو امکان طراحی پارامتریک فراهم بوده است ما این قابلیت جدید به شما این امکان را می دهد که بتوانید از بین گزینه های مختلف طراحی شده مناسب ترین آنان را بر اساس ورودی های مشخص ، اهداف و محدودیت ها در بستر تصمیم گیری داده محور مشخص کنید.
