Quraniyah adalah sekte Islam yang menolak Hadis dan menjadikan Alquran saja sebagai sumber agama. Penganut sekte ini percaya bahwa Alquran jelas, lengkap, dan dapat sepenuhnya dipahami tanpa bantuan Hadis. Ini juga didukung sejarah bahwa penggunaan Hadis secara masif sebagai rujukan agama bukanlah hal yang lazim dilakukan sampai Imam Syafii (kurang lebih 200 tahun setelah kematian Muhammad) mempopulerkannya.

Tokoh Islam yang memiliki pemahaman mendekati Quraniyah adalah Dirar bin Amr (kurang lebih 200 tahun setelah kematian Muhammad), itu pun dia dikucilkan oleh tokoh-tokoh Islam lain saat itu. Dirar sendiri memiliki pendapat yang bisa dibilang asing di kalangan Islam mainstream, seperti menolak keberadaan siksa kubur, dajal, dan syafaat.

I was arguing with a Muslima the other day, regarding whether a guy needs his wife's permission to marry another woman.

She insisted that a guy needs his wife's permisson to marry another wife, and I kept saying no he doesn't. We were semi-ranting one another until there was another Muslima, who seemed not that religious since she wore no headcovering, calmed down the situation. At that point I said to her (the one I was arguing with), "Where in the Quran or Hadith is it said that a man must ask his wife if he wants to get another wife?"

She starred at me in disbelief and angrily responded with something like this: "If that's the case, then women have no rights to contribute in Islam." Then I was like, "Spot on!".

Lol I still can't believe this poor girl figured out the answer herself.
