Thay say they hate the sin, not the sinners. That is nonsense. They're just trying to manipulate you and have your sympathy. Once they have gained enough power, they'll stone you to death eventually.

Remember, the punishment for homosexuality in Islam is execution (burnt alive, stoned to death, etc), so it's simply nonsensical for a Muslim not to hate gay people.

Some Companions said that the punishment for homosexuality is to burn the homosexuals with fire, and some of them viewed that they should be thrown down from a high place then have stones thrown at them. Some of them thought that they should be stoned to death.

Sekte Quraniyah, pernahkah kamu mendengarnya?

Quraniyah adalah sekte Islam yang menolak Hadis dan menjadikan Alquran saja sebagai sumber agama. Penganut sekte ini percaya bahwa Alquran jelas, lengkap, dan dapat sepenuhnya dipahami tanpa bantuan Hadis. Ini juga didukung sejarah bahwa penggunaan Hadis secara masif sebagai rujukan agama bukanlah hal yang lazim dilakukan sampai Imam Syafii (kurang lebih 200 tahun setelah kematian Muhammad) mempopulerkannya.

Walaupun begitu, sekte ini sepertinya baru muncul di zaman modern. Ini dapat dilihat dari sejarah yang menunjukkan tidak adanya tokoh-tokoh Islam yang diketahui secara pokok mengamalkan pemahaman sekte ini. Tokoh Islam yang memiliki pemahaman mendekati Quraniyah adalah Dirar bin Amr (kurang lebih 200 tahun setelah kematian Muhammad), itu pun dia dikucilkan oleh tokoh-tokoh Islam lain saat itu. Dirar sendiri memiliki pendapat yang bisa dibilang asing di kalangan Islam mainstream, seperti menolak keberadaan siksa kubur, dajal, dan syafaat.

I was arguing with a Muslima the other day, regarding whether a guy needs his wife's permission to marry another woman.

She insisted that a guy needs his wife's permisson to marry another wife, and I kept saying no he doesn't. We were semi-ranting one another until there was another Muslima, who seemed not that religious since she wore no headcovering, calmed down the situation. At that point I said to her (the one I was arguing with), "Where in the Quran or Hadith is it said that a man must ask his wife if he wants to get another wife?"

She starred at me in disbelief and angrily responded with something like this: "If that's the case, then women have no rights to contribute in Islam." Then I was like, "Spot on!".

Lol I still can't believe this poor girl figured out the answer herself.
