I'm getting Galaga vibes from these Australian native violets

In -99, Sweden celebrated Mario by naming a street after him. And as you can see, Mario himself was present! Although I gotta say, he does look a bit poorly in the picture. Local food disagreeing with him?

Is this normal for Castlevania? I don’t see any enemies or anything.
