Airi is a third-year student at Miyamasuzaka Girls Academy, whereas Akito is a second-year student at Kamiyama High School. Airi is part of the idol unit MORE MORE JUMP! while Akito on the other hand is part of a street music group, Vivid BAD Squad. Both Airi and Akito are really outgoing and charismatic people, but Akito's personality tends to differ depending on how close he is to his peers.

Saki and Ichika are second-year high school students as well as members of the band Leo/need, with Saki being their keyboardist and Ichika serving as their guitarist, lyricist and vocalist. Saki and Ichika were once childhood friends who played music together. They were close but grew apart after Saki got hospitalized for her chronic illness, and their relationship got strained after that incident as Saki was eventually unable to attend middle school.

Shizuku and Rui are both third-year high school students. Shizurui is a huge rarepair due to their limited interactions, although the "An Unmissable Spirited Affair" event gave it a slight boost. They currently have 30+ romantic works and 20+ platonic works on AO3.

Mizuki and Minori are members from different units, 25-ji, Nightcord de. and MORE MORE JUMP! respectively, and are both second-year students who attend different high schools: Mizuki attends Kamiyama High School, while Minori attends Miyamasuzaka Girls' Academy.

Touya and An are well known to have opposite personalities, with An being very expressive, outgoing, and bad at studying, while Touya is more reserved, stoic, and good at studying. Despite being very opposites, they actually have a similar situation − music is become part of their life since they were kid, mainly because of their father's influence. Both of their fathers are accomplished musicians. Touya's father is a famous classical musician, while An's father is a retired musician who hosted and performed at legendary event
