That's been one of my mantras - focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it's worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.

If you're gonna make connections which are innovative... you have to not have the same bag of experiences as everyone else does.

Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important tool I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything - all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure - these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important.

Compare less. Reflect more.

When communicating with people, let us not forget that we are dealing with creatures who are illogical, emotional, full of prejudice, and driven by pride and vanity.
