What are you currently obsessed with that is totally unrelated to your job?
quite tired today, so i decided to "rent" a thinking from these guys to make a post which is basically a generic shallow garbage with no original thoughts. i guess it could be an efficient way to appear as a smart guy — nearly zero effort results in a, more or less, decent output.

would you prefer to agree with the peers in the same room or to present an opposing view?
do you think it's more ethical to support actions of your country than to criticise them?
what's more moral to you - to follow your religion or to question its dogmas?
do you think it's more respectful to agree with your parent/mentor/professor than to ask epistemically "uncomfortable" questions?
Humans aren't just not perfect Bayesians. Very very few of us are even Bayesian wannabes. In essence, everyone who thinks that it is more moral/ethical to hold some proposition than to hold it's converse is taking some criterion other than appearent truth as normative with respect to the evaluation of beliefs.
'taking apparent truth as normative', so I'd call it the only position of that format that is Bayesian.

So we now have a pretty good picture of the state of the frontier AI model makers.
US closed source models continue to lead. Google, OpenAI, and Anthropic stand well ahead of the pack, and may have signs of recursive self-improvement. xAI has fallen from frontier status for now (though promises to return shortly). Zuck re-entered the space today with a not-quite-frontier closed source model, but an approach that suggests that they might be back in the race. All the other US players seem far behind.
On the Chinese model front, Alibaba (Qwen), Moonshot (Kimi), MiniMax, Xiaomi (MiMo), Deepseek, and Z (GLM) all still appear to be very much in the race, though the best Chinese models are still 7-9+ months behind released US closed source models. For some of these players, especially Xiaomi and Alibaba, their commitment to open weights appear to be slipping.
Outside of China, Mistral seems to have fallen from frontier status.
