Closure of Striga Accounts

Dear Renegades,

As part of your use of the Renegade App, you have previously opened a virtual asset account with Striga — including a virtual IBAN and, in some cases, associated payment cards.

Please note:

👉 All Striga accounts and their associated cards will be closed after December 30, 2025.

💡 Important Notice:
Your assets are safe and not affected by this change.

We kindly ask you to transfer any remaining balances by no later than December 30, 2025 to another account registered under your own name.

Until that date, you may continue to use your Striga account and cards as usual.

If you have any questions or require assistance, our Renegade Support Team is, of course, happy to help.

💳 Your cards will remain fully functional until and including December 30, 2025.

💳 How the Renegade Web3 Cards Work

The Renegade Web3 Card works very similarly to a traditional bank account — with one key difference:
you use crypto instead of fiat.

🔄 How it works step by step
You transfer USDC or USDT to your Web3 Card wallet.

When you top up the Web3 Card, your crypto is converted into USD ($).
👉 This top-up is effectively the exit from crypto into your card balance.

You can then use the card normally in stores, online, or at ATMs.

Each payment simply deducts the corresponding amount from your USD card balance, just like with a regular bank account.

⚠️ Important to understand
Your crypto is not spent directly at the moment of payment.
USDC / USDT are converted to USD during the top-up, not at checkout.

After that, you are spending USD stored on the Web3 Card.

🎁 Rewards & Benefits
You earn rewards for using the Web3 Card.

Airport lounge access is also available with the Web3 Card.

In short:
The same user experience as a traditional bank card — powered by crypto onboarding, Web3 infrastructure, and full card benefits. 🚀

The monthly fee for the Web3 card has been fully refunded to all affected users.

Context on the FMA Notice (Amnis / Monavate)

Dear community,

we have carefully reviewed the recent FMA notice – thank you to everyone for staying alert.

Transparency is very important to us, which is why we want to briefly and factually put this topic into context.

A clear differentiation is essential:

The FMA warning relates exclusively to the specific setup between Amnis Europe AG and Monavate within a particular distribution model.

In the Banking-as-a-Service l(BaaS) environment, it is common that regulatory measures affect only a single distributor or channel and are not automatically applied to all partners.

The restriction was issued because specific regulatory requirements were not met within that particular distribution channel.

Other partners or integrations are not automatically affected.

Monavate itself remains a licensed E-Money Institution.

Renegade is not a distributor of Amnis, but operates with its own integration that has been legally and separately reviewed.

Our operational and legal structure is fully decoupled from the issues mentioned involving other market participants.

For Renegade and our community, this means:

👉 No impact on our ongoing operations

Account statements were previously generated automatically via Striga.
Striga (now Lightspark Payments Europe AS) has been acquired by Lightspark, which led to changes in their company structure and GDPR compliance requirements.

👉 Lightspark now requires direct user consent to generate and send account statements.

❗ We can no longer request statements on your behalf.

🚀 Renegade App Update – New Features, Improvements & Fixes

Dear Renegade Community,
We’re excited to share the latest updates to the Renegade App.

Over the past versions we introduced new features, improved performance and security, and fixed several issues to make the experience smoother for everyone.

✨ New Features

Web3 Card Selector
The manual credit card entry in Priority Pass has been replaced with a Web3 Card Selector. You can now view and select your available cards directly, making the process faster and easier.

Recipient Safety Check
Before sending funds from the Vault to Web3 addresses, the app now shows an enhanced security check with visual confirmation and warnings.
Recipient addresses are also checked against OFAC sanction lists to ensure they are not restricted or sanctioned.

Pull-to-Refresh on Mobile
You can now pull down to instantly refresh your data on mobile.

Wallet Switcher Updates
We added new wallet connectors and improved the wallet connection framework.
WalletConnect should now work reliably again without unexpected disconnections.

⚙️ Improvements

• Mobile navigation moved back to the bottom of the screen for better usability (for some users).
• New calendar date picker for a smoother date selection experience.
• New language translations added to the app.
• Improved performance, security, and system identification in the background.
• Optimized wallet connection technology for more stable integrations.

Bug Fixes

• Improved Web3 Card login authentication stability.
• Fixed an iOS visual glitch where the background moved when the keyboard opened.
• Resolved the “Migration must be started” error on Android.
• Fixed an issue where the app could behave unexpectedly when running in the background.

If you have funds connected to Web3Auth, please make sure to migrate or securely save your keys before the end of March.
