Next day, the father went to the police department to get info about the criminal case against the police officer who ran over his daughter. After he arrived to the police station, all contact with him was lost. Apparently, he got handed over and got drafted.
There is more than enough evidence to suspect that this is unlawful imprisonment that was executed due to corruption.

• Unlawfully taking away the ability for a child's guardian to defend her interests.
• Police abuse of power
• Possible corruptional pressure on behalf of the driver
• Preventing participation in a case as a witness/victim
• Unlawful imprisonment

It does not matter what country you're from or what is the current state in which that country is in. Police will always choose to save their own ass over helping you. Don't let the fact that Ukraine is a country at war give you the illusion that ukrainian cops can be trusted.
