المسكين كل المسكين مَن ضاع عمره في عِلم لم يعمل به
The poorest of the poor is the one who loses his life in knowledge that he does not act upon
ففاته لذات الدنيا وخيرات الآخره
So the delight of this world and goodness of the hereafter pass him

Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:
“The best pleasure in the dunya is learning about Allah and the best pleasure in the Hereafter is looking at Him.

We all commit sin being that we are the children of Ādam عليه السلام however, the best of us are those who constantly turn to Allāh making Tawbah. Do not allow the Shaytān to put you in despair by telling you there's no hope for you because you sinned, indeed Allāh is Al-Ghaffūr.

If the Dunya was the true abode then the Prophets would have had the most luxurious and opulent of lives.

Knowledge is a means to the goal, Taqwā and a sound heart. If you amass a great deal of knowledge, yet you haven’t reached Taqwā, then what did you benefit? And if you amassed a little knowledge yet you’ve attained taqwa, then what have you lost?
The Most Beneficial ilm is that which knocks on the door of your heart, ilm that transforms you daily to be the best version of yourself.
Reading volumes of books, attending lessons regularly, purchasing the best of Islamic garments..these are all means to taqwa, not goals.
If you find that after years of being upon this path haven’t had a significant effect on your emān, re-evaluate where you may have gone wrong.
Most importantly, ask Allāh تعالى to grant you a sound heart, wisdom, insight, taqwa, and sincere intentions. Don’t stop striving.

"If Allah is on your side, then who can be against you? No one! And if Allah was against you, then who can be on your side? No one! And if you have earned the love of Allah what did you lose? Nothing! And if you lose the love of Allah, then what did you really gain? Nothing!"
Food cooked/prepared out of a profession (restaurant/takeaway) can never compare - in taste, enjoyment and spiritual benefits - with food cooked at home by a loving family member (e.g. mother) out of sincerity, love and with all their heart. Reduce outdoor eating.

It’s scary, we know so much about the Dunya, and so little about the Deen.
This is not to say, don’t earn and strive to be well off, it’s to say, don’t forget who your Lord is, and where you’re headed!
May Allah forgive us all! آمين
