Assalāmu ʿalaykum wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh,

This is a reminder page for myself to look back on. If you benefit from it, Alḥamdulillāh. If not, please remember me in your du'ā's.

الصبر على طاعة الله اهون من الصبر على عذابه

The patience in obeying the commands of Allāh ﷻ is easier than the patience in enduring His punishment.
Beyond being a good student and learning your lessons well, if you provide even a small service from time to time, like make a cup of tea or open the door for the teacher, it shows your human side too. That way you are not just seen as an academic, but one with some humanity.

Mufti Abdur Rahman Mangera
No matter how tough your life is right now, do not stress yourself out, do not give up, hold on, keep striving, and place your complete trust in Allah, He is the best of planners. Always remember, be positive, stay strong, and never lose hope in the mercy of Allah The Almighty.

Mawlānā Imtiyaz Sidat
It's natural to feel upset when things don’t go our way.

But remember that just as we can choose to be upset, we can also choose to place our trust in Allah ﷻ and believe that things are working out for our greater good, though we may not be able to see it at the time.
Not everyone will treat you how you treat them. Not everyone you present a gift to, returns your favour. You may give gifts to someone only to find out in return they're backbiting about you in various gatherings. Not everyone you are kind to, will be kind back to you.

Allāh has divided manners for people just as Allāh has divided up their sustenance. Do things for the sake of Allāh. Not for the sake of people. Your reward is with Allāh. Not with the people.

Some people have no solution to their problems nor is there any way to reform them. You can only deal with them in accordance with their own wishes. In that case, either have patience with them, or leave them.

Our role model, the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ dealt with people rationally and not emotionally. Nabī ﷺ would bear other people's mistakes and deal with them. Don't let your emotions get the better of you when dealing with other people.

Think before you speak. A moment of patience in a moment of anger will save many moments of regret.

المسكين كل المسكين مَن ضاع عمره في عِلم لم يعمل به

The poorest of the poor is the one who loses his life in knowledge that he does not act upon

ففاته لذات الدنيا وخيرات الآخره

So the delight of this world and goodness of the hereafter pass him
Ibn Taymiyyah رحمه الله said:

“The best pleasure in the dunya is learning about Allah and the best pleasure in the Hereafter is looking at Him.

Qadr is the decree of Allah ﷻ

...and the decree of Allāh ﷻ is such that He has given you choices in life, so what will you choose?

Talk to Allāh ﷻ
We all commit sin being that we are the children of Ādam عليه السلام however, the best of us are those who constantly turn to Allāh making Tawbah. Do not allow the Shaytān to put you in despair by telling you there's no hope for you because you sinned, indeed Allāh is Al-Ghaffūr.

If the Dunya was the true abode then the Prophets would have had the most luxurious and opulent of lives.
