Assalāmu ʿalaykum wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh,

This is a reminder page for myself to look back on. If you benefit from it, Alḥamdulillāh. If not, please remember me in your du'ā's.

This dunyā has been designed with suffering and pain, not only as a test but also as a means to get closer to Allāh ﷻ and know him better.

"So be patient with gracious patience." (70:6)
When inflicted with any hardship, turn to His remembrance. Reflect upon what you already have and prepare yourself for what’s about to come; because it’s a certainty that He will grant you something that’ll be even better. We just merely know the drops but He knows the ocean.
2 pieces of advice that could take you to paradise

1. Never do a sin telling yourself it’s no big deal

2. Never give up the opportunity to do a good deed thinking it’s too small

You don’t know which sin could anger Allāh & which good deeds will earn His Pleasure
Don’t make decisions without consultation/مشاورة with your seniors and Istikharah/استخارة. You will regret your immature spontaneous decisions without proper consultations later in life. Don’t lose the wise, mature and sage advice of your seniors while they are alive.

[Mufti Ismail Desai]
“How will the deeds become heavy in the scales of the hereafter?

Look at the first ḥadīth of Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī! Ikhlāṣ makes a deed heavy.”

- Mufti Muhammad Taqi Usmani

You really have to be there for yourself when your Imān takes a dip. I don't know of any self care as important and nurturing as the one where a person fixes that which is between them and their Lord. No one else will do that for you. It's on you.

No one else knows what your days hold, or what sits in your heart of sadness or happiness. When you create a distance between you and the one who knows you so well, you throw yourself into a pit of loneliness.

It's Okay to have low days, or to slip. The greatest mistake isn't that you fall into error, it's human to do that. The greatest mistake is to lose hope in your own self, and to fail in picking yourself out of the pit.

You have to regularly press reset for yourself. You have to monitor yourself and ensure you don't stray too far from those things that bring you life. You have to force yourself to prayer, to Qur'an and to Dhikr till it once again becomes a part of who you are.

And what is most beautiful is that so long as you do this your Lord is ever ready to accept your efforts. It's a journey that never ends, it's one that causes grazed knees from the amount of times you will fall then stand again. But you have to stand and you have to die upon it.

Shaykh bin Baaz رحمه الله said:

“Time is life, and whoever wastes his time wastes his life, and whoever wastes his life will be regretful and this regret will not benefit him.”

(Majmoo‘ al-Fataawaa, 16/261)
Al-Hāfith Ibn Rajab رحمه الله stated:

"If a person is saddened by his evil and he does a righteous action as a result of the evil (in order to wipe it out), this is a sign of his faith."

[Fathul-Bārī 3/28]
Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه narrates that the Prophet ﷺ said: “Whoever is soft, gentle and easy going [in their approach towards others], Allah will make the fire [of Jahannam] haraam on him” [روى البيهقي والحاكم وحديث صحيح]
Live a life of gratitude. Constantly remind yourself of the good things the Almighty has sent your way. The uncountable blessings He has bestowed on you. Too often, we let the negative things from our past take centre stage. Don’t. Think of the positive and the beneficial.
