Accepting the Decree of Allāh ﷻ

The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said:

"Never do you leave off anything for the sake of Allāh except that Allāh will replace it for you with that which is better than it."

[Musnad of Aḥmad and Authenticated by Shaykh Al-Albānī رحمه الله]

Give without remembering, take without forgetting.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

"Should I tell you about who Hellfire has been forbidden from consuming?

It has been forbidden upon every (كل) one who is accessible (قريب), forbearing (هَيِّن), gentle (لَيِّن), easygoing (سهل)."

Stop your mindset of "I can't be happy unless I have this or that". Happiness has no requirement, unless you set it so.

What is real happiness? It is when you thank Allah despite the problems you have. And most importantly, it is when we know how to smile every time we wake up knowing that we have never been a cause of someone’s pain.

Not feeling accepted can be a symptom of not accepting yourself. Don’t be a person who constantly seeks approval and acceptance from everyone. Do the right thing with a pure heart and then be happy & content with yourself.

Sometimes you need to take a step back to look at all the blessings He has given you in order to realise just how ungrateful you are. A lot of the times we block our blessings because we haven't appreciated and acknowledged the ones we currently have.

الحمد لله رب العالمين

Bishr bin Al-Hārith رحمه الله stated:

"Don't do (good) deeds in order to be mentioned (by the people)."

[Siyar A'lām An-Nubalā 10/476]

In life we have good days and bad days. During the good days, we must ensure we are not arrogant or reckless with our good fortune. During the bad days, we must be patient and not lost hope in Allah. Both types of days are a test for us in different ways.

Allāh The Almighty knows your pain, sincerely pour your heart out to Him about your struggles. He’ll surely comfort you, He’ll never abandon you, He is the best of planners, He’ll do what is best for you. Be positive, stay strong, keep striving and don’t give up. Never lose hope!

And it is in Allah alone that the believers must place their trust." [3:122]

Tawakkul توکل is one of the superior human qualities. It does not mean that one should cut off all his connections with the effort to collect material support. On the contrary, one should collect what is obviously needed to the best of his ability, use it, and then, let Allah take care of the outcome.

If you are connected to the Qur’an in one way or another, wallahi count yourself as blessed. There are so many other things you could invest your time and efforts in but Allah is keeping you connected to his book. That is the biggest good fortune.
