Assalāmu ʿalaykum wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh,

This is a reminder page for myself to look back on. If you benefit from it, Alḥamdulillāh. If not, please remember me in your du'ā's.

The 10 Days Of Dhul Ḥijjah

[Shaykh Muḥammad Ibn Ṣāliḥ al-Uthaymīn رحمه الله]
It's a special feeling when things seem to be falling apart or you're in an unknown phase in your life but your heart is stable because you remember the du'ā's you made to your Lord. He always brings out of the hardship, a beautiful end.

Having good thoughts of your Lord is such an important concept because it is literally the ground that you stand upon. Without it, you have no stable foundation.
Morning & Evening Adhkār
You know, we plan and build so many dreams and goals for ourselves; we’ll marry this specific person, we’ll get this particular job, we’ll save up this amount of wealth... but we forget that Allāh Sees and Knows, out of His infinite Wisdom and Mercy, what’s truly best for us.

And so when we take Allāh out of the picture & we dont marry the person we wanted to, or we don’t get the job we dreamed about, or the things we worked hard towards, we become despondent & hopeless because we placed our happiness in all these things thinking its whats best for us

We didn’t leave our affairs to Allāh, asking Him that if this thing is best for me then facilitate it for me and if it’s not best for me then detach me from it and grant me something better in return. Having this kind of mindset will put your heart at ease & lessen the pain that bit more because you know and realise that if Allāh has turned you away from something then it is only because He is protecting you and emptying your hands so He can replace them with that which is far better for you than you could ever imagine.

What to say when afflicted by a calamity
‏كل عمل صالح تعمله يُسجل و كل عمل باطل تعمله يُسجل، فأحرص على الصلاح دائماً

Every good deed you do is recorded and every bad deed you do is recorded, so always strive for goodness
Trust in Allāh ﷻ

Tightening our grip on the things that we cannot control only fuels feelings of helplessness and despair.

Always choose to focus on what is within your control. That’s how you build resilience and start making positive changes, no matter the chaos around you.

This dunya (worldly life) holds no value to The One Who created it, so it shouldn’t hold any value to you either.

This Dunya is a temporary journey from Allāh, for Allāh and eventually back to Allāh!

Learn to forgive yourself for your mistakes, past and present. Expecting perfection from yourself isn't realistic - you are, after all, Insān, and only Allāh is perfect. If it necessitates tauba, reach out to Allāh. If you need to make amends, reach out to people.

Whatever it takes to heal and move forward, do it, provided that it's within the framework of Sharīʿa. Sometimes our own expectations of ourselves is what affects us most mentally - through anxiety, depression and overthinking. Growth happens through mistakes - embrace it.
