Assalāmu ʿalaykum wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh,

This is a reminder page for myself to look back on. If you benefit from it, Alḥamdulillāh. If not, please remember me in your du'ā's.

The world is a paradise for the disbeliever and a prison for you,

The world is the prison of the believer!

Yet you love it, just as they do.

A new perspective for you and I, when we complain about Islām making things Ḥarām.

We were never meant to be free here in the first place!
It’s your mind. Fill it up with what you like.

Fill it with worldly thoughts and you’ll feel heavy like the animals of this world.

Fill it with purity of Allāh ﷻ's thought & you’ll feel light like the angels in the heavens.

[Shaykh Ḥasan ʿAlī]
Learn to be alone. Eat alone, sleep alone, vibe alone, heal alone. Be so confident that you can bloom without opinions and approvals. And if you ever doubt yourself, always remember who you were and how far you've come.
You may not have control over every single thing, all of the time...but you do have control over one thing most of the time: perspective.

Perspective is everything when you are experiencing life and the trials and tribulations that come along with it. Zoom out. Change your focus. Alter your reality by altering the way you see it.
Sufyān b. Uyainah رحمه الله:

“A knowledgeable person is not he who knows the good and the bad. Rather a knowledgeable person is he who knows the good and follows it; and he knows the evil and shuns it.”

[Tahdheeb Al-Kamaal (11/ 191- 192)]
