Ibn al-Jawzī رحمه الله said:
“Overall, the planning of Allāh for you is certainly better than the plans you have set for your own self. He may avert what you wish to test you, so show Him the good patience you have and then you will see what will please your heart.”
(Captured Thoughts p. 464, Saydil al-Khātir)

“We are a people whom Allāh ﷻ has honoured through Islam, if we seek honour elsewhere, Allāh ﷻ shall humiliate us.”
“We are a people whom Allāh ﷻ has honoured through Islam, if we seek honour elsewhere, Allāh ﷻ shall humiliate us.”
Be mindful of Allāh ﷻ and he will protect you
ʿAbdullāh Ibn ʿAbbās narrated:
One day, I was behind the Prophet ﷺ so he said to me:
“O young man! I am going to teach you some words:
Be mindful of Allāh and He will protect you
Be mindful of Allāh and you will find Him before you
If you ask then ask of Allāh
If you seek aid then seek aid in Allāh
Know that if the entire Ummah were to gather in order to benefit you with something,
They could not benefit you with anything except that Allāh has written for you.
And if the entire Ummah were to gather in order to harm you with something,
They could not harm you with anything except with what Allāh has written against you.
The pen has been lifted
And the pages have dried.”

Ibn al-Qayyim

Be not hasty and rushed for things that have yet to come to pass. Do you think it is wise to pick fruits before they become ripe? Tomorrow is non-existent, having no reality today, so why should you busy yourself with it? Why should you have apprehensions about future disasters? Why should you be engrossed by their thoughts, especially since you do not know whether you will even see tomorrow?
The important thing to know is that tomorrow is from the world of the unseen, a bridge that we do not cross until it comes. Who knows, perhaps we might never reach the bridge, or the bridge might collapse before we reach it, or we may actually reach it and cross safely.
For us to be engrossed in expectations about the future is looked down upon in our religion since it leads to our having a long-term attachment to this world, an attachment that the good believer shuns. Many people of this world are unduly fearful of future poverty, hunger, disease, and disaster: such thinking is inspired by the devil.
Satan threatens you with poverty and orders you to immorality, while Allāh promises you forgiveness from Him and bounty. And Allāh is all-Encompassing and Knowing.
[Qur'ān, Sūrah Baqarah (2), verse 268]
Many are those who cry because they see themselves starving tomorrow, falling sick after a month, or because they fear that the world will come to an end after a year. Someone who has no clue as to when he will die (which is all of us) should not busy himself with such thoughts.
Since you are absorbed in the toils of today, leave tomorrow until it comes. Beware of becoming unduly attached to future prospects in this world.

We're constantly reminded about our Nafs. Your nafs will want you to follow your desires, it is up to us follow our desires or bring our Nafs closer to our Lord.
There are 3 types of Nafs:
1. Nafs Al-Ammarah.
2.Nafs Al-Lawwamah.
3. Nafs Al Muṭmainnah
Yahya Ibn Mu' adh Ar-Razi said:
"Fight against your soul/self with the four swords of training: eat little, sleep little, speak little, and be patient when people harm you. Then the soul/self will walk the paths of obedience, like a fleeing horseman in the field of battle.

Disappointments and failures are a part of life, but do not let them have a hold on you to such an extent that you can't move forward. Always remember, learn valuable lessons from your experiences and do not give up. Be positive and keep going. Your time will come. Be optimistic!

Repentance is the first step of discipline, the key to guidance to the straight path and the weapon of purification for those who wish to come close to Allāh ﷻ
May we purify our hearts with sincere tawbah and keep our tongues moist with dikr always, but especially during these last few days of Ramadan Inshā'Allāh

The FIRST step on our journey
Repentance to Allāh ﷻ
Repentance to Allāh ﷻ
These are my best wishes for you:
I hope yesterday reminds you how strong you were. You have overcome so much and have come so far. Every struggle you’ve been through is a badge of honour.
I hope today proves how capable you are. You expand your comfort zone, get things done and take good care of yourself. Find that superhero in you and be proud.
I hope tomorrow tells you how fantastic you can be. You are meant to do great things. And when you find where your potential and passion meet, you will shine.
