Assalāmu ʿalaykum wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh,

This is a reminder page for myself to look back on. If you benefit from it, Alḥamdulillāh. If not, please remember me in your du'ā's.

Patience, oh you have been afflicted

For if you knew what was for you with Allah you would have laughed from the intensity of happiness.

[‘Umar bin Abdul Azīz, The Purification of the soul]
Islām stresses on the importance of trust, and fulfilling promises we make is a huge obligation upon as Muslims

"O you who believe! Why do you say that which you do not do? Most hateful it is with Allah that you say that which you do not do."

[Al Qur'an 61:2-3]
Shaykh Muqbil رحمه الله said:

“Happiness cannot exist between a husband and wife except by their combined efforts; remaining patient with each other; working closely towards goodness and displaying teamwork whilst nurturing their children.”

[Anāqeed al-Karāmah | Page 7]
The Noble Scholar Shaykh Muhammad bin Sālih Al-'Uthaymīn رحمه الله stated:

"I see that it is from the blessing of Allāh upon the husband that the woman (he is married to) loves him."

Don't Let Your Good Deeds Go To Waste...
Don't ever make a decision without Allāh ﷻ. Dua, Istikharah, tahajud. If you are seeking His aid, you'll get to a beautiful destination, even if the route currently looks obscured.

It will work out. Don't obsess over the 'How', rather obsess in Dua & tawakul.
Reminder for myself
Thābit Al-Banānī رحمه الله stated:

"Glad tidings for the one who remembers the time of (his) death. And never does a servant remember (his) death abundantly except that (the effect of) it is seen in his actions."

Accepting what has been written for
you can be so difficult, the only way to get through it is by consistently reminding yourself that no doubt, it was written by the best of Planners and only in your best interests.
Took me a while but I finally understand that there’s no point in forcing things. Just make dua, if it’s meant for you, Allāh ﷻ will make it clear to you and it will be. There is no point in stressing yourself out, when the greatest of writers has written your fate.

And know you have come to this world to build your home in the afterlife

‏The Poet Said:

The soul cries over this word yet it knows

Safety in it is by abandoning what is in it

There is no abode for a person after death to house him

Except for the one he built before death

So if he built it with goodness, wonderful will his living there be

And if it was built with evil, disappointed the one who built it will be
“Behave well in your private life and Allāh سبحانه و تعالى will make your public life excellent.”

[Sufyān ath-Thawri رحمه الله Hilyat al-Awliyaa 7/35]
Keep you heart soft by connecting with Allāh ﷻ and your tongue moist with dhikr

Do not take any sin lightly. The more time you spend in remembering Him and seeking His forgiveness, the quicker you will find your way back to Him.
'Āmir bin Qays رحمه الله said to his cousin:

"Leave your matter to Allāh (and) you will be at ease."

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:

It has been said: Sincerity is to forget the creation seeing you because of continually looking towards the Creator. Whoever adorns himself before the people with what he does not possess, has fallen from Allah’s grace.

[Madarīj al-Salikeen | 2/70]
Remember when Allāh ﷻ gives you hardships and difficulties, and you feel like you reached the bottom and there’s no point of life, that itself is the biggest sign of all. That the attainment of the Dunya will never give us solace nor any contentment. We always need a reminder that this world wasn’t made for our enjoyment.

There are two ways of reacting to when you get afflicted with any difficulty.

1) Give up and lose faith. Give up hope, motivation, happiness. Cut off from everyone, waste precious seconds of your life dwelling over the unchangeable.

2) Use this hardship to clear your vision of what’s really important. Get closer to Allah, do things that make you happy, make the best version of yourself by focusing on you. Become a positive person and become a means of hope for others.

The most successful of people have all faced numerous challenges in life. You overcome and take the good from it.

[Aminabinteharith]
Sufyān Ath-Thawrī رحمه الله stated:

"Be merciful, and you will be beloved to the people. Be pleased with what Allāh has designated for you of provisions, and you will be rich. Put your trust in Allāh (alone), and you will be strong."
