Assalāmu ʿalaykum wa raḥmatullāhi wa barakātuh,

This is a reminder page for myself to look back on. If you benefit from it, Alḥamdulillāh. If not, please remember me in your du'ā's.

“I advise all of my brothers that they make their actions sincerely for Allāh ﷻ.

For indeed, the matter of al-Ikhlāṣ (sincerity) is magnificent.

Al-Ikhlāṣ is a cause for the aid of the daʿwah.

'We are only travellers in this life,
we'll pass [on] one day, leaving everything behind us for the living'

"When the deceased person has died the angels say: 'What has he sent forth (for himself)' and the people say: 'What has he left behind (for us)'."

Reading books. Going on walks. Coffee shops. Journaling. Good grades. Shopping. Self care. Learning. Hobbies. Building skills. Traveling. New places, new people.

Just evolving and having fun.
Imām 'Uthaymīn رحمه الله stated:

"The person is tested with two matters when he reads the Qurān:

1. Either laziness and not being persistent in reading.

2. Not contemplating (over the meaning)."

By Allāh ﷻ, the idea of death is terrifying, but as soon as you remember this Ḥādith:

( من أحبَّ لقاء الله أحبَّ الله لِقاءَه )
“Whoever loves to meet Allāh ﷻ, Allah loves to meet him.”

Your fear subsides, your soul calms and your heart is cleared.
When the timing is right, you’ll meet the person destined for you, in the most beautiful of ways. You’ll see how they ease the pain in your heart and make you feel whole with the love they give. They’ll remind you of why the others didn’t work. Why you had to go through heartache after heartache.

And you’ll be so so thankful to Allāh for blessing you with someone who brings you happiness & contentment. You’ll look into their eyes and feel a sense of peace no one else has made you feel. You’ll know they’re the only one you want to spend your life with.
Have you forgotten that Allah rejoices with your repentance?

Have you forgotten that He is the Most Forgiving and the Most Loving?
Busy yourself with anything beneficial. Whether it’s for your spiritual benefit, physical, nutritional, mental, home life. Whatever it is, make use of your time and do not allow the devil to make use of your idle mind.
Never get too attached to this world, because attachments leads to expectations and expectations leads to disappointments. Attach yourself and become closer to your Creator for no disappointments.
Drop all that baggage that slows you down and remain focused on your goals.

Indeed, Allāh ﷻ promises to

“Provide for the believer from where he does not expect. And whoever relies upon Allāh, then he is sufficient for him".

[Al Qur'ān 65:3]
Drag your soul to goodness until it comes willingly.

A house without books is a body without a soul.

Being unable to read was a virtue of the Prophet ﷺ and a sign of his prophethood but it is a defect in you!

Reading is so important, especially if you’re a student.

Even if you aren’t technically studying formally, reading expands your mind and grants you insight that you otherwise would not have.

Be attentive to this and peel your eyes away from social media and other forms of entertainment in order to develop yourself.

Carry a book on your person at all times. Different ones too if you want. Read a fixed portion every day.

Note down and summarise what you read and learn.

Discuss and share this with others!

May Allah increase our knowledge.

Powerful Advice Of Imām-Khaṭīb
Abū 'Uthmān Sa'īd bin 'Uthmān Al-Hīyrī رحمه الله stated:

"It is a duty for the one who Allāh has honored with the knowledge (of Islām) not to belittle himself with the (acts of) disobedience."
