The very title 'Forced War' is totally demolished by none other than Hitler himself in his November 1939 speech, where he clearly says he always wanted to wage war.

Israel and the USSR got into at least one incident of direct combat.

Loans can and are also made by States (to citizens, to other states, to itself), often at interest, which would be called what.... loan socialism? States are also economic actors. The Third Reich did plenty of this loan socialism or just simply stole what it wanted from what was left of the private sector (with spontaneous new "taxes") or looted it from a foreign country. As some fascists themselves have admitted, it is a form of indentured servitude to a permanent political class.

To combat the wartime fiscal emergency, the Finance Ministry originally proposed a prepayment of four years' worth of tax. But on the insistence of the Prussian Finance Ministry and others this was raised to a one-off prepayment of ten years of tax.47 At least 4.5 billion Reichsmarks came out of liquid bank accounts and cash reserves of property owners; the rest was raised in the form of new mortgages.
