Mussolini was little more than a shade of authoritarian Marxist socialist who hated the Church, the monarchy and sought to replace God with The State (and himself) as an object of worship.

Mussolini's late stage rule, the Italian Social Republic, was moving inexorably towards full-Communism (the true end state/goal of fascism).

Adolf Eichmann said his "political feelings lay towards the left" and was just as much an economic socialist as a nationalist.

Goebbels makes it clear he's a communist here, even parrots the Marxist line about workers' "alienation". Just ignore the customary fake denunciations of Marxism and read between the lines:

> "Marxist nonsense claimed to free labor, yet it degraded the work of its members and saw it as a curse and disgrace. It can hardly be our goal to abolish labor, but rather to give new meaning and content. The worker in a capitalist state β€” and that is his deepest misfortune β€” is no longer a living human being, a creator, a maker."

> "He has become a machine. A number, a cog in the machine without sense or understanding. He is alienated from what he produces. Labor is for him only a way to survive, not a path to higher blessings, not a joy, not something in which to take pride, or satisfaction, or encouragement, or a way to build character."

> "We are a workers’ party because we see in the coming battle between finance and labor the beginning and the end of the structure of the twentieth century. We are on the side of labor and against finance. Money is the measuring rod of liberalism, work and accomplishment that of the socialist state."

It doesn't get clearer than that. He is "on the side of labor" endeavoring towards a "socialist state". He hates business owners, land owners, people with wealth, and promises to redistribute that wealth to low-skilled laborers.

In 1925 Goebbels proposed an alliance with the communists.

> "In 1925, Goebbels published an open letter to β€œmy friends of the left,” urging unity between socialists and Nazis against the capitalists. β€œYou and I,” he wrote, β€œwe are fighting one another although we are not really enemies.'"

β€œWhether the other races [non-German] live in comfort or perish of hunger interests me only in so far as we need them as SLAVES FOR OUR CULTURE; apart from that it does not interest me. Whether or not 10,000 RUSSIAN WOMEN COLLAPSE from exhaustion while digging a tank ditch interests me only in so far as the tank ditch is completed for Germany.”

β€œIt is absolutely wrong to project our own harmless soul with its deep feelings, our kindheartedness, our idealism, upon ALIEN PEOPLES. This is true, beginning with Herder, who must have been drunk when he wrote the Voices Of The Peoples, thereby bringing such immeasurable suffering and misery upon us who came after him. This is true, beginning with the Czechs and Slovenes, to whom we brought their sense of nationhood. THEY THEMSELVES WERE INCAPABLE OF IT, but we invented it for them.

One principle must be absolute for the SS man: we must be honest, decent, loyal, and friendly to members of our blood and to no one else. What happens to the Russians, what happens to the Czechs, IS A MATTER OF UTTER INDIFFERENCE TO ME. Such good blood of our own kind as there may be among the nations we shall acquire for ourselves, if necessary by taking away the children and bringing them up among us.”

β€œWe shall never be rough or heartless where it is not necessary; that is clear. We Germans, who are the only people in the world who have a decent attitude to animals, will also adopt a decent attitude TO THESE HUMAN ANIMALS.”

Syndicalism and Communism are the same thing. It is where the unions take collective control over the means of production. Fascism merely synthesizes that collective union control into the state. Giovanni Gentile admitted that Sorelian syndicalism was based on Marxism and that fascism was based on syndicalism.

In 1919, Hitler attended a speech by Gottfried Feder, who would become a founding member of the NSDAP and co-author of its original 25 points. The speech was titled β€œHow and by What Means Can Capitalism Be Eliminated.” Anti-capitalism was therefore the founding ideology of the NSDAP.

In 1920 Goebbels said communist Russia was a "natural ally" and preached hatred of the West. He said they were a natural ally because they were fellow socialists like him, an alliance which came about in 1939's Molotov-Ribbentrop pact in which both sides praised each other for being socialists.
