Trying to learn how to use Steam Underground

I might be a complete idiot since I can't figure out what tf am I supposed to do. Tried copying the extracted folders to the steam folder, the game goes to the library but asks me to purchase it. SmartSteamEmu does nothing. Tried looking for a few guides, but none of the ones I found work.

Could someone give me a retard-proof walkthrough please?

Making subtitles appear within the video frame rather than outside of it?

The worst part about this is the fact that all of the solutions I find on google do absolutely nothing.

Once in a while, I'll get a movie that for whatever reason, instead of displaying in full screen properly, will be both letter and pillarboxed. I have an ultrawide monitor, so I can change the video frame settings to fit my screen (usually Video Frame --> Touch window from outside) and use all of it.

The issue is the subtitles. I'm hard of hearing so I actually need these subtitles in order to understand anything being said in a movie. For some reason, the subtitles don't move to fit within the frame setting so they are visible.

Fixes I've tried:

Going to options -> Subtitles -> Default Style -> making sure "Position subtitles relative to the video frame" is checked. It already was, and disabling it did *nothing*.

Enable Override placement, again, seemed to do *nothing*.

Adjusting the vertical position in subtitle settings does *nothing.*

It's infuriating. Any help or ideas on how to fix this?

UBlock Origin with Mozilla Firefox

I use UBlock Origin in firefox. Recently I saw that my real IP is displayed while using VPN. So I noticed that when I install Ublock, real IP is shown, when Ublock is removed real IP is not revealed. What is reason ? How to fix it ?

[Question] Batch renamer that preserves episode names?

I downloaded the TV series Titus from a youtube playlist because I can't find a torrent that'll run faster than 10Kbps, but being youtube the filenames are stupid. for example, "03. Titus season 01 Episode 02 Sex With Pudding".

I've sorted them by season, but given that there's 54 episodes I don't want to rename each one by hand, and since it's ripped from YT there's no useful metadata. is there a program that can batch rename the episodes to something like "S01E02 - Sex With Pudding," or even just "01 - Sex With Pudding"?

I found a website similar to IGGGames. Is it safe?
