How safe am I from getting caught?

I have a VPN that doesn't log your use (pia) i use qbittorrents as the torrent client and i have the kill switch set to NOT allow connections if the VPN goes down. (so like if i turn off my VPN or the server goes down i can't connect to the internet at all) also i have port forwarding on when available.

So lets say i start downloading a torrent and a company is looking at all the ip addresses seeding that torrent. Can they trace it back to me at all or am i in the clear? and if they can how so?

Ik there is no 100% guarantee but I would like to know how likely it is for me to get a DMCA letter from my isp.

Sorry if this has already been asked but I have been looking all day for an answer and the best i could find was either them using a proxy or not using any protection.

This is my understanding on how this all works please feel free to "um actually" me.

So basically your isp can't see your traffic at all passed seeing you connecting to a vpn service and they can't do anything about it because of encryption. but the only place this is vulnerable is at the end of the trail. (like from the vpn server to the website because the website doesn't have the encryption key ) but even then the ip address is still not your real one. and if the torrent is being watched by a company that tracks the ip addresses of the people seeding, but if your vpn provider doesn't rat you out you're good. But because of the U.S gov they can demand info on your ip in 7 countries. but PIA doesn't log and if they do its dumped with-in a day. but the gov can also set up a tracker on your ip through your vpn provider if they get a warrant. But because i'm not on a most wanted list or selling a bunch of pirated DVDs i don't really have to worry about that.

Avatar collection or generator?

When registering on a new resource, I get bored every time I search through Google for images suitable for the avatar. After that, they have to be checked for compliance with the requirements (image size, number of pixels, etc.) and corrected in the graphics editor if necessary.

Please tell me good sites avatar generators or their collections.

i use fitgirl/piratebay/skidrow, fitgirl with TOTAL WAR: WARHAMMER II recently has proven to be filled with issues unpacking and installing. I was wondering if there was a better website that i do not know about because i'm fairly out of the loop.

i've been usin KMSOffline for almost a year now. it have serve me well till to this day. im asking about you people(if you know about it) is it a good kms program????

its pretty much a swiss army knife of windows acivation/kms program. it has KMS,KMS38 and HWID in one program. it can activate a wide veriety of windows and offce versions from windows xp to 10, server 2008 to 2019 and office 2010 to 2019.....

Difficulty Pirating College Textbooks

Typically, when the sources in the /r/piracy Mega Thread let me down, I buy ebooks, rip/remove DRM and return the purchase. I've been ganking textbooks since 2012 (I've graduated a few times).

However, this time around in college, I'm being assigned textbooks that are not readily available in eBook format... they're also fairly unpopular. I know they're floating around somewhere in CyberSpace in PDF format, because I've had multiple people offer to sell me pirated PDFs (I bought one and immediately uploaded it to LibGen).

I can afford the textbooks (weird flex), but at this point it's a matter of principle.

TL;DR: Are there newer textbook piracy sources that are not listed in the mega thread? Are there IRC channels/servers for text books? Are there forums hidden by the dark web specifically for textbooks? I need more tools in my tool belt.

Bypass steam on borrowed games?

Bypassing steam for Dark Souls 1?

Ok so a relative lend me his steam library a long time ago and I downloaded dark souls: prepare to die edition. But I stopped playing for a while and it asked me to borrow it again.
instead I decided to buy the game, but it is no longer available aside from the "remaster" which costs $60 and also my PC can't run. I could borrow it again I guess, but I no longer have contact with this relative so I can't.
Therefore I have no 'legal' way of playing it on steam.

If I still have the game files on my PC tho, can I bypass steam somehow and play the game?

PD: Bandai Namco are a bunch of assholes. Couldn't they just leave the original version on steam?
