My shi--y experience at a jewelers when buying a ring
So I said Yes last week! And my now fiance didn't have a ring to propose with but wanted to take me shopping so we each could get one. So we went to a Jewelers that got decent Google reviews. My fiance dropped me off to go park the car and I went inside. And immediately, instead of a "Hi! Welcome! How can I help you?" from the woman working there, I got a cold state and al "Can I help you?". And honestly, my first thought went to my clothing and the fact that I was "out of place". I had a denim jacket, Sid Vicious tshirt and jeans and boots on.
Nevertheless, I went over to her and said me and my fiance were looking to buy rings. And do you know what she said after that? No joke, it was "Do you ACTUALLY have the money to put down for one? You don't look like you do, I'm sorry".
I know this sounds like a caricature or something but hand to whatever forces are out there, that's what she said. I then gave her a "Who the FUCK do you think you are?" and "What the fuck is your problem?". I threw a few insults at her before leaving just as my fiance was coming in.
I half wanted to just go home, but my fiance insisted we try at least one more place because he wanted it to be "our day". Thankfully, we did find another place and were welcomed with open arms as we should have been. And I'm now the proud owner of a beautiful sapphire ring that I can't stop looking at!

Husband cleared a private space for a nursing friend
Had some friends over for brunch today. They have a 3mth baby. As I was flipping pancakes my husband comes in and says "I cleaned LO's room and cleared the couch in our child's room in case she wants a private space to feed the baby."
I said that was a thoughtful thing to do. He said he's learned a lot about women from me & it doesn't matter if HE knows he's a "safe" man to nurse in front of, what matters is how the WOMAN feels about it.
