Напомним, что в ноябре читательские вкусы петербуржцев уже привлекли к себе внимание: в рамках Санкт-Петербургского международного культурного форума Северная столица была признана победителем Всероссийского конкурса «Самый читающий регион России». Почётное звание Петербург получил за лидерство в сфере развития книжной инфраструктуры: жители города на Неве хранят верность бумажным изданиям. Именно эта победа вдохновила правительство города на Неве подать заявку на конкурс ЮНЕСКО «Всемирная столица книги — 2020».
