FYI: If you repair you own phone, the precut screen adhesive double stick tape is GARBAGE. Here is what to use.

You'll find it by different names depending on where you are in the world. B7000, E-6000, etc. It's kind of like a really strong rubber cement, but a little more firm, much more adhesive, and breaks loose around 180*F like the factory glue.

I replaced my battery on my Pixel 2 a few months back and used the adhesive precut tape provided by iFixit. Nothing against the company, the guide was excellent and so is the battery. But yes, even from a properly respected site, the adhesive is still junk ...

How does one utilize the most out of the phone?

Hello

I got my current Oneplus 7 Pro phone last year and overall I am very happy with my phone and the smooth experience it came with. This was probably the first big flagship purchase I've had in years and I expect if everything goes well this phone will serve me long and well.

The latest releases of new flagship phones like Asus Rog 3 has got me thinking - I have this powerhouse of a phone in my hands and yet all I use it for is a handful of social media apps, media consumption and web brows...

Why isn't there a "don't automatically connect" option for Bluetooth devices?

I get so frustrated with having to unpair my car because if I don't it will always kick off my headset. On the rare occasion I want to listen with my car, I have to stop and pair it rather than just connecting to an already-paired device. Am I the only one with this frustration? Why is there no option anywhere to tell my phone which devices should always connect and which should only connect when I want? We have it on wifi with the "automatically connect" option - why not on Bluetooth?...

Theres a very annoying bug with WebView 84

WebView got updated and now won't properly display any page. The bugged version is 84. If you're having trouble with this, just uninstall the update and install the version 83, whose apk you can easily find.

God bless...

The new Android 11 emoji style is now available on Android Messages for Web!

When I used Android Messages for Web on my iPad today, I found that the emojis have been updated to the new style! When I do the same on my (Windows) laptop, I don’t see the new style there yet though.

Manufacturers may not care, but LCD phones need to continue existing.

If I buy a smartphone, I buy for long-term use. Even if I move on to a newer model, I still intend on using that older phone for secondary purposes. OLED displays have a burn-in issue that sinks in with longer term usage. With the in-display fingerprint reader now being possible for LCDs, I hope manufacturers will at least move back to LCDs for midrange phones....
