Can we get full Control of our Display Brightness? Let's talk about "Adaptive Brightness".
So this is something that's been irking me for a while now. The fact that we don't have true control over our display's brightness level. We have auto/adaptive brightness that is supposed to pump up the brightness to higher levels with higher ambient light, my problem is... Well, it doesn't really work properly!
Right now I'm outside on one of my hikes, at a campsite taking a break. I'm not under trees, fully under the sky, and it is overcast at the moment. As I'm typing this, the display is ...

My Motorola G7 Power Review (first time Motorola owner)
I recently picked up a Moto G7 Power from T-Mobile and I shall share my findings henceforth;
The fast-charging 5000mAh Li-Po battery gives me 3 days of low-frequency-of-use "pocket time" and 30 hours of nonstop screentime with occasional media streaming. The build quality is astounding: the frame and shell are durable plastic constructed in an understated, modern "beveled brick" design and the screen is built of Corning's third generation of damage resistant Gorilla Glass. That solid design phi...

YouTube testing new search interface ?
I've noticed YouTube search now has a new interface and I don't know if they're testing this for a broader spectrum of people, I'm on Vanced but since their updates are server sided I still get them, what do you guys think about the big interface ? Personally prefer it though you lose some video info.

Flashlight gesture (discussion)
Tonight at work (retail) I've had 3 customers come in with the flashlight shining through their pockets. So now I'm curious how various device manufacturers implement the gesture shortcut for this.
On my Moto, the flashlight activation is a double-chop motion so it's never been triggered in my pocket. I've used Samsung & LG devices, but none fancy enough to have quick gestures so I don't know how other brands do this feature. (Or does anyone do it differently?)
Is this a common thing, where a...

What does your perfect phone look like?
Here's mine:
Zero bloatware. If they want to load on their own apps, that's annoying, but its okay as long as I'm able to remove them if I don't like them.
Security and privacy should be a priority.
LED notification light.
IR blaster.
I would prefer a plastic back. It is my opinion that they are indistinguishable from glass ones these days in terms of quality, sometimes look better, and will not fracture when dropped.
Headphone jack is mandatory. A nice DAC would be a big bonus.
