Protect yourself from the police

The goal is to be able to record video without an officer being able to take your phone and delete it. There is an app called Quick Video Recorder which lets you turn off the screen while still recording video.

My setup:

1. Using the Button Mapper app: double click volume down to open QVR (double up for flashlight).

2. Press record.

3. Hold power button then lock phone.

Google photos should be set to upload QVR folder over data, (not to require WiFi).

If you were having trouble copying and pasting words on your phone, go to your touch delay settings and use whatever setting makes you comfortable.

This helps me edit when I write on my phone, the response is just quick enough....

Recently, (yesterday) I flexed that my Samsung Galaxy A6 (2018) is invurnerable to this issue.
At the night time, i decided to downlowad official software update to Android 10. The Fight has begun.

After an hour of updating, my phone got into loop of crashing lock screen and trying to launch it again. Since we have such high devices these days, we should have an option to have the notification bar on the bottom

Is it just me who really dislike that you have to reach all the way up to pull down the navigation bar? I know, there are launchers and tips and tricks to pull it down easier, but I still feel that base Android should give you an option to flip it upside down, where you will have the clock on the bottom left and battery status at the bottom right. And you swipe up for notifications. Or if you have swipe gestures for home, back and recent, maybe you can tap the notification bar to bring it up?

Just a quick heads up, don't use Android Flash Tool to downgrade from Android 11 beta back to 10. You'll lose face unlock

This is a reported issue but haven't seen it on this sub and I imagine Pixel users don't know the beta sub exist. Just wait for the OTA from Google to revert back to 10. My OTA wasn't coming through so I used the flash tool and now face unlock won't work. Tried fresh factory reset and all. Just a PSA....

Wordy Google Home Assistant Fix

I have a smart plug I use for a lamp and going to bed is was quite annoying to always hear my Home Mini reply "Okay, turning off lamp". I couldn't find any option to shorten it and the 'Headset Mode' was only available for my phone. While working on something else I removed my smart plug from my devices and re-added it. This time, the icon changed to a light bulb and now the Home Mini just replies with the jingle after it gets an on/off command.
