Sony Xperia 1 II Heat Supression mode

The Sony Xperia 1 II has a unique feature hidden in its game mode which allows the the phone to suppress heat while charging.

How this feature works: When the phone is plugged in the battery does not get charged and the charger provides direct power to the phone , much like some laptops where you can takeout the battery and use it just by plugging in the cable.

Why this feature is great: This feature is primarily focused toward gaming because it generates a lot heat because of heavy cpu usag...

For anyone having issues with DualShock 4 on custom roms:

LineageOS 17 supports the Dualshock 4 controller and from my testing so far it works great!

I spent countless hours trying other ROMs but gave up as none supported the DualShock 4 besides MIUI.

So anyone with this problem: tries and see if an official lineage os build is available for your device and flash that....

Nokia 9.3 Pureview vs Pixel 5

So I recently remembered that Nokia exists and they released the 9 Pureview last year. The camera had problems due to the complex system Nokia was trying to use but now this year it seems Nokia's going to go with a more standard data intake for its 5-camera setup. The camera app was also laggy.

This year, the 9.3 Pureview is expected to have the 865 and X55 5G modem, 6 and 8gb of LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.0 storage, and an under-the-display selfie camera. Now, of course, the selfie camera will need to...

Ten years ago today the EVO 4G was released. It doesn't feel like that much has changed since then.

Here's a 10 year old video review of the EVO 4G: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucJ6ULMFo9E

Pretty remarkable.

Things I miss that most phones don't have anymore:

Incredible build quality

Super Smooth UI feel

Replaceable battery

Expandable storage...

Xperia 1ii UK £799

https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/sony/xperia-1-II-5G

Device cost is £799. You can also claim the WH1000XM3.

With Refresh you pay two things, device and plan. The device cost always stays the same, and can be paid off at any time. Once that's paid off you can cancel the SIM. You might start on a 36month plan but if you decided to pay it off a day, week, month, year later, you can cancel the SIM plan.

The downside is you have to have a credit check.
The plus here is you save £300 on device plan and...

I really hope MTK releases the course code for Dimensity

Redmi 10X is a beast for it's money, but still, it's running on MTK processors, so we all can say bye to its custom ROMs.

Me and a lot of my friendly andro enthusiasts love Xiaomi for its value as a base for custom ROMs and various tests.

Wouldn't it be profitable for MTK to release the source code, since Qualcomm has a "tax" on its chips? And why does Qualcomm have a market share this big (if there are any reasons other than open source code)?...
