Dear comrades and friends,

According to the news we have received:

Communists marching with USSR flags in Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, have been detained.

According to investigators, the communists were acting as an “organized group,” holding regular meetings, renting an office, and even setting up a small studio to record Marxist agitation videos.

During searches conducted in locations said to belong to the group, police seized Soviet flags, Marxist literature, CDs, and other electronic equipment alleged to be “intended for spreading communist ideology.”

The Nizami District Court has ordered three months of pre-trial detention for two individuals. These two communists will be tried under Article 233 of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code for “organizing actions that disturb public order or actively participating in such actions.”

We have no direct communication with them and do not know them personally, but we nevertheless declare our solidarity with our comrades.
We stand ready to offer whatever support we can to our comrades whose studio has been seized, should they need it.
We will also intensify our efforts to produce more videos and work in the Azerbaijani language.

The capitalist barbarians will lose!
Communism will win!
