Okay, RA is being migrated to new hardware right now, I was able to bring it back up yesterday and there should be no pending forwards. Hopefully the migration is complete in the next 3 hours.

RecklessApotheosis is now up and running on the new hardware, it's catching up 115 blocks on mainnet, and the database is starting up. I'll keep an eye on it, but we expect to be routing transactions again in an hour hopefully! Thank you all for your patience, the server it's now running on is far beefier (sorry no proxmox yet!) and should end up being even more stable than before. We highly encourage serious noderunners to use VMs for their nodes, it made migrating from suffering hardware a breeze and to use RAID for your database (the blockchain data is less important to have mirrored). It is with a heavy heart that after almost 3 years and billions of sats routed, that we must inform our peers that we are taking down our shingle and closing #RecklessApotheosis. Got a great tip on XRP and going to close our channels so we can exchange the node's capital into Ripple and staking Ethereum! See ya'll on the other side! RecklessApotheosis is going down for database compaction and vacuuming, forwards have been disabled, don't see any pending UTXOs, it may be a few hours as I'm also working on server stuff!

That most certainly did not work out as expected. We experienced 33 hours of downtime not routing because while changing networking configuration to fix a different issue, a new one was introduced that I missed. During the downtime, we lost a total of 19 channels due to FCs, luckily due to the lower network fees this only burned a total of ~58k sats, but it's still too much. To our peers who experienced FCs as a result of our server issues we apologize! This is certainly not the level of professionalism the Lightning network needs to succeed. We took the downtime opportunity to upgrade most of the software running the node, the CPU, RAM, and hopefully permanently fix the networking. We'll be reaching out to the noderunners we burnt through this event to try to make things right and get more channels opened! Thank you all for your awesome support throughout this, especially the noderunners channel and @wyssblitz, @filouman, @SynthLock, @Hakezuba, @alexbosworth, and @nitesh_btc!

Every miner on earth is hashing right now, especially ours! We are 33 blocks away from the Halving and the Bitcoin hashrate is at an all-time-high of 615 Exahash. The Difficulty Adjustment is in 4 days and forecast to go up, if it does, we may have a couple of weeks of slow blocks as miners turn off rigs and the diff remains high, leading to higher fees. Get in your somewhat less expensive channel opens now before it's too late! RecklessApotheosis is still welcoming dual-funded channels of 10m sats or more, and 0 fees for 30 days as well as a refund of 3k sats to inbound opens!

RecklessApotheosis fees are temporarily high to discourage routing and to recover the cost of potential FCs, they'll return to normal when the mempool is done being crazy!

RecklessApotheosis is down for upgrades and a reboot prior to leaving for Nashville!

RecklessApotheosis was down about an hour ago while we were driving through Nebraska. Apparently my upgrade hit an inadvertent bug (https://github.com/lightningnetwork/lnd/issues/3078), and I had to delete my tls.cert amd restart lnd. Routing should resume shortly!
