~ SHARING SESSION ON EID PRAYERS ~
From Our Founder to Our Teachers and Students....
Assalamualaikum my dear sisters,
Eid prayers fall either under the ruling of wajib or sunnah muakkadah ( i.e. a sunnah that was not missed by the Prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam)
What does that mean?
It means we have to perform the Eid prayer regardless what situation we are in.
If we are still experiencing lockdowns, then our normal Eid prayers in the masjid will change to making the Eid prayers at home.
If we are in a country that do not cater for Muslim women to pray in masjids, then we as women will pray at home.
The Eid prayer at home, lead by our menfolk or by ourselves cannot have khutbah.
Yes we won't have the festive Eid prayer, the huge Muslim gathering that we are accustom to; but we can have our Eid prayers at home or in small groups wherever you might be in this world.
May Allaah Accept our prayers and Bless us with a mass Eid prayer next year, Ameen.
