Samuel Miele, a campaign associate of Rep George Santos and who impersonated Speaker McCarthy's fmr chief of staff, has been indicted on charges of wire fraud and identity theft.
Miele is accused of sending "fraudulent fund-raising" emails which clamed to be from a "high-ranking aide to a member of the House with leadership responsibilities."
Miele received a 15% commission for the contributions.
