"The main characteristic of the Creator's Pet is that the writers' focus on him is detrimental to the show. It's not that the parts featuring this character necessarily suck more than the rest, but that so much effort is being directed to him that it detracts from the quality of the series as a whole. It's as if the writers think that there's nothing more important than browbeating the viewers into falling in love with this one character. And it never works. "
I never had a problem with him
"The Creator's Pet is a combination of being:
Hated by fans (The Scrappy)
Loved (or worshipped) by the writers (Creator's Favorite)
Put into big scenes for no reason (Character Focus)
Talked up by the other characters (Character Shilling)"

Geordi's visor is like Telegram and this Intuitive network.
We can see things (people) here we could not see elsewhere (Facebook, for instance).
Here we are able to see living things -- living people -- in beauty, complexity, and musicality.
...whereas, elsewhere we could not discern those same living things.
I appreciate the awe in his voice.
I feel it too.
' Could it be alive? '
Yes, it could be alive. :-)

A great difference, however, is that my knowledge of the people in these scenes, like family to me from the age of 6, tells me they really want to know and care about the organism they are learning about.
They really and honestly do not want to hurt it!
They really and honestly do not want to hurt it!
So this is an intriguing piece of personal exploration and perceptual development for me.
