I'm starting this public channel based on a concept I had years ago: look at tropes that are relevant to real life and society and discuss for the purposes of making produced media content.
I'll start with a few general tropes
I haven't searched exhaustively, but I haven't found a setting trope yet that covers living in an interconnected, media-saturated world where the setting is global, even if the character(s) are starting in local context but with Internet and other media.
But that's the setting we have.
I am very interested to understand more about communities that discuss TV Tropes!
I am very interested to understand more about this last setting you are describing that you have not found anywhere yet.
Many stories/films have a few specific local settings. A few do take global context and shift between stories and people in different places.
I like this format for the reality stories we are living and following and developing
For example the film Traffic follows storylines in different cities https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Film/Traffic but it is from a while back and so not with all the online interaction we're doing for example
TV Tropes
Traffic (Film) - TV Tropes
A 2000 crime drama film directed by Steven Soderbergh, Traffic was adapted from the 1989 British Channel 4 miniseries Traffik. With an All-Star Cast headed …
And Game of Thrones has many storylines interconnecting with different characters but it's not based in a digital time
And there are others but of course very little addresses illness, especially illness and multi-marginalization in different places in the world with a focus on efforts outside of conventional structures
with much of the interaction done online
So I'm interested in developing that as a story format, as a sort of documentary approach involving real people but drawing people in as being an interesting and compelling story
LOL! maybe : Sense8? The 'Psicelium' 🍄
illness.... shamanic illness... emergence... this is embedded somewhere, where have i found this? cuz I felt that the knowledge of what to do was embedded from media in my childhood, although I often cannot grab it to remember.... yet
Pollyanna -- I want to see the Disney movie again very badly and haven't been able to find a way to watch it. Thank you for reminding me of it. I've got to keep remembering until I find a way.
this is a great set of topics.

I've never seen or read Pollyanna but part of me related to this trope
Relates
And/or I see it in how people may look at me, even critically
