An interesting trend in American law is defamation claims relating to COVID-19. The “fact checks” are being litigated. But another area is whether a defendant commits slander per say by falsely accusing someone of being COVID+. Cases are working their way through state courts.
Historically, it was defamation per say to accuse someone of having a “loathsome disease.” This usually meant leprosy or an SDT. But overtime, some states passed defamation laws that make it a tort to falsely accuse someone of having any “contagious disease.”

Voting by mail should be safe, legal, and rare.
Only allow VBM in cases where some is truly homebound due to illness or outside the US (like military), and all ballots must be received by Election Day to be counted. VBM should be counted as it is received and curing should be banned after ED. Rigorously enforce signature matching.
