I am not suggesting, nor have I proposed, that the Ukrainian labs are being used to produce bioweapons. At the same time, there's no way for "fact-checkers" in the media to know whether the negative is true. The fact-checkers say so, but what's their evidence? Because Jen Paski denied it in a tweet?
Aside the fact that media cannot possibly know whether the U.S. was engaged in bioweapons research, the reckless dismissal of the labs as either nonexistent or merely "old Soviet labs" leaves the dangerous impression that we shouldn't be concerned.
But as Victoria Nuland acknowledged during her sworn testimony before Congress, we should be concerned because whatever is in those labs is so dangerous that we cannot allow it to fall into the wrong hands.
