📜THE MOUNTAIN IS YOU📜
by Brianna Wiest

---------------------------------------------------------
➡️ Transforming Self-Sabotage Into Self-Mastery. ---------------------------------------------------------

📗About:
This is a book about self-sabotage. Why we do it, when we do it, and how to stop doing it—for good. Coexisting but conflicting needs create self-sabotaging behaviors. This is why we resist efforts to change, often until they feel completely futile. But by extracting crucial insight from our most damaging habits, building emotional intelligence by better understanding our brains and bodies and learning to act as our highest potential future selves, we can step out of our own way and into our potential. To scale our mountains, we actually have to do the deep internal work of excavating trauma, building resilience, and adjusting how we show up for the climb. In the end, it is not the mountain we master, but ourselves.

📜THE POSSIBILITIES📜
by Yael Goldstein-Love

---------------------------------------------------------
➡️ A new mother ventures into parallel worlds to find her missing child in this mind-bending novel that turns the joys and anxieties of parenthood into an epic quest, “a powerful page-turner with deep wisdom” (People). ---------------------------------------------------------

📗About:
Hannah is having a bad day. A bad month. A bad year? That feels terrible to admit, since her son Jack was born just eight months ago and she loves him more than anything. But ever since his harrowing birth, she can’t shake the feeling that it could have gone the other way. That her baby might not have made it. Are the strange things Hannah is seeing just new-mom anxiety, or is something truly weird and sinister afoot?
📚BOOK REVIEW: Never Let me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro

🔹In all honesty, "Never Let Me Go" left me quite dissatisfied. The novel seemed to lack substance and significance, revolving too much around trivial teenage problems that failed to resonate with me. The plot, unfortunately, fell flat and couldn't grasp my attention throughout the reading experience. I had high hopes for the intriguing concept of people being cloned for organ donation, but to my dismay, it remained underdeveloped and didn't add much depth to the story. As I turned the pages, the inconsequential nature of the narrative became more apparent, and I found it difficult to stay engaged. Regrettably, I couldn't even bring myself to finish the book, as it failed to leave a lasting impression or evoke any meaningful emotions.

📜NAUSEA📜
by Jean-Paul Sartre

---------------------------------------------------------
➡️ The best-written and most interesting of Sartre's novels.-- "Atlantic Monthly" ---------------------------------------------------------

📗About:
Nausea is the story of Antoine Roquentin, a French writer who is horrified at his own existence. In impressionistic, diary form he ruthlessly catalogues his every feeling and sensation about the world and people around him.

His thoughts culminate in a pervasive, overpowering feeling of nausea which "spread at the bottom of the viscous puddle, at the bottom of our time, the time of purple suspenders and broken chair seats; it is made of wide, soft instants, spreading at the edge, like an oil stain."

📜ANNIHILATION OF CASTE📜
by B. R. Ambedkar

---------------------------------------------------------
➡️ What the Communist Manifesto is to the capitalist world, Annihilation of Caste is to India.” —Anand Teltumbde, author of The Persistence of Caste ---------------------------------------------------------

📗About:
B.R. Ambedkar’s Annihilation of Caste is one of the most important, yet neglected, works of political writing from India. Written in 1936, it is an audacious denunciation of Hinduism and its caste system. Ambedkar – a figure like W.E.B. Du Bois – offers a scholarly critique of Hindu scriptures, scriptures that sanction a rigidly hierarchical and iniquitous social system. The world’s best-known Hindu, Mahatma Gandhi, responded publicly to the provocation. The hatchet was never buried.
