COVID-19 safe distancing: Employers must allow staff to telecommute where possible
❗Only an estimated 40% of workers in the CBD are telecommuting
➡ Employers must ensure employees work from home as far as reasonably practicable
📋 This applies to all workplaces, regardless of size, for all days
If the nature of work doesn’t allow for it, employers must:
↔️ Implement safe distancing measures
🕘 Stagger arrival and departure hours for employees
To ensure safe distancing, Govt will strengthen enforcement. It will be an offence for employers not to put in telecommuting measures where the nature of work allows it
Employers should aim for 100% telecommuting where possible
