Subscribestar, the platform that I use, now supports internal currency that is called tokens and can be bought outside of Subscribestar.
This increases anonymity, allows usage with payment processors that usually don't support substar and reduces payment margins, that means more of your money ends up artist's pocket, and not in the pockets of Mastercard and Visa.
