•So you have done B.Sc(Hons) LL.B.(Hons) from NLU Jodhpur. Then why Civil Services?
•Why not practice Law?(I did but I left my job in October 2021 to pursue RAS as going into Civil Services is my dream)
•So what have you prepared today?(I was like more or less you everything, nothing specific) Follow up question - Okay what are your interests?(Sir Social Issues and Polity)
•Starts by asking me about cyclones and how they are named. Went on in a long monologue about them. (I answer)
•Follow up question about wind directions reversing in Northern and Southern Hemisphere. Asks if any rule for the same.

Member 1(Male) -

•Starts by saying that the administrative language used in Rajasthan and in general is Hindi so I’ll ask you in Hindi(spoke in Hindi. I replied “Ji sir”. Here on I spoke in Hindi and English mix. Mostly Hindi but English for any/all technical terms)
•You said social issues is your interest so tell me about what Sir just asked related to climate change and social issues due to it and कुप्रथाएं. (I talked about social disparities seen due to any disaster and how most vulnerable are most affected. Said sorry for कुप्रथाएं. Chairman interrupted and said no it’s very important think about it. I said sorry again)
•Why climate change? How it affects?(Spoke about Paris Climate Accord and how we have already breached 1.5 Degree Celsius etc)
•Why recent heavy rains?(Answered due to Bay of Bengal Monsoon arm colliding with the Western Disturbances, fortunately was mentioned in the newspaper of today)
•What would you do as Administrator in disaster?

Member 2(Male) -

•Rajasthan has a very varied Geography, what is its impact on Rajasthan’s History and Culture. (Answered something but they were not very satisfied with my answer)
•Supplementary questions on it(again not very satisfied with my replies). Still kept asking and clarifying. Member 2 said “ab thoda lamba ho raha hai yeh” but kept asking/speaking, Chairman interrupts by saying what they wanted to listen to and says be specific. I apologise for not answering what they were expecting.

Member 3(Female) -
•Aap Administration mien aaoge toh focus kis cheez pe rahega?(I said improving Education and reducing Gender Inequalities)
•Aap Administration mien apne juniors, colleagues, subordinates se kis tarah se kaam karoge? And what will be your style in working in administration(I replied will work in timely manner. Will complete my work in the best way possible. Regarding working with everyone said will lead by example and also said I will try to learn from everyone and ensure that there is good coordination between everyone etc). She said “Good”
•UCC. What is it?(Answered)
•Is it possible to assimilate all cultures and traditions?(Answered yes it is as India is known to taken up big challenges and turn them around to make the country better etc) She said “Good” again.
•She was done with her questions but Chairman sir interrupted and asked more questions.

Chairman Sir -
•You said you want to work to reduce gender inequalities what will your direct step. Be precise. (I talked about Literacy rate disparities based on the data of 2011 Census and how I want to reduce that)
•He said what problem will that solve? Just give me one direct problem. (Thought for a while and sais Dowry problem as a more aware society means all social evils being taken care of and it will certainly affect this). He said no something else.

(I talked about equal opportunities for all) He said no, something else.
•Talked about Sarpanch Pati and the problem due to it. (I start explaining Women reservations through panchayati raj amendment and how and what the problem of Sarpanch pati is) He cuts me short and says we know that(I say sorry) then says give concrete steps to tackle this problem as administrator. And he said give immediate solution not long term like educating people etc. (thought for a bit - I answer that I will ensure only elected representatives come in meeting and take decisions, this will ensure sarpanch pati culture to end immediately). He said no something else. (I said sorry sir I don’t know and cannot think of anything else at the moment). Sir said to read more on this. (I said definitely sir and apologise again for not knowing). Sir said your Interview is over.

I did namaste to everyone else and then get up and leave.

Member 2 got up in between(around half time) and went out. I acknowledged the same. And did the same while he came back in.
