Microsoft's official X account was briefly hacked—just 30 minutes—but in that brief window, attackers changed the profile picture, followed random accounts, and pushed a Clippy-themed meme coin. Microsoft confirmed it didn’t authorize any of these actions, is pursuing legal action, and pointed to a growing pattern: earlier this year, similar breaches hit accounts tied to Robinhood’s CEO, SpaceX, and Starlink—all exploited to promote meme coins.

One of the vaults on the Base network has been breached, resulting in losses of approximately $6 million — equivalent to about 1,783 #wstETH.

The attackers gained access by injecting a malicious contract into the vault’s whitelist, then borrowed aBaswstETH and transferred it to their own contract.

So far, systemic risk appears limited. However, there's concern that if the stolen wstETH is dumped, it could put short-term downward pressure on LST token prices.
