[ FAITH OR FASHION? ]
The fashion industry is by its very nature an ever-evolving one, with new fashion trends and forms being added to its bloodline on a regular basis. The term "Muslim attire" does not pertain to any certain type of clothing. Rather, it might be regarded as any attire that adheres to the principle of modesty. As current generation is exceptionally influenced by social media, the course of fashion has also been shifted to normalise even the non-syariah compliance fashion forms.
The Holy Quran calls for women “…to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests…” (An-Nur 24: 31), and Prophet Muhammad PBUH has also instructed all Muslim females to cover their bodies except for their face and hands. Though the minimum amount of coverage for men is between the navel and the knee, modesty also calls for non-see-through clothing, looseness as not to outline the body shape, not flashy, and not to imitate other faiths or gender.
Having a different point of view is very important in this aspect. Islamic clothing requirements are not meant to be restrictive for either men and women, but to instil modesty, dignity and virtue in every individual. Freedom in fashion should never cross our faith boundary. In order to strive for a well-rounded graduate, appearance should never be taken for granted as it may affects both the way we look at other people and the way we look at ourselves. Hence, it is very necessary for us to keep on reminding each other to comply to Syariah, slowly but surely, consistently at our own pace.

Isra’ dan Mi’raj secara ringkasnya merupakan peristiwa perjalanan Rasulullah SAW dari Mekah ke Baitulmaqdis di waktu malam dan diangkat ke langit bertemu Allah SWT untuk menerima kewajipan solat 5 waktu.
Peristiwa ini jatuh pada tarikh 1 Mac 2022 bersamaan 27 Rejab 1443H. Terdapat juga banyak peristiwa yang berlaku pada bulan Rejab. Justeru, umat Islam hendaklah mengambil pengajaran daripada segala peristiwa yang telah berlaku sebagai pedoman dalam kehidupan seharian kita. The workshop will be interactively conducted by Mr Isyraf Inhaf, who has more than 5 years experience in teaching software editing, as well as a UiTM graduate in Industrial Design. [ HAPPY EID MUBARAK 1443H ]
Alhamdulillah, we have successfully completed one of The Five Pillars of Islam, which is fasting in the month of Ramadan.
As Ramadan has left us, the month leaves its values that includes the meaning of Sabr and methods that strengthen our connection with Allah S.W.T. These values help us in reflecting our action and make us better Muslims.
The arrival of Syawal marks the end of Ramadan where Muslims are celebrating their success of a month-long journey of restraint from forbidden acts that could break their fasts and to show gratitude towards Allah S.W.T., following the previous month of blessings.
With that, Rakan Masjid would like to wish a Happy Eid Mubarak to all Muslims in UTP and all over the world. May Allah S.W.T accept our deeds and shower His blessings upon us.
