Back in 2018 there was this guy called Eunuch chan that would post on 8chan’s r9k. The gist of his story is that he was a 30 year old neet that didn’t like having a high sex drive, being lustful, and the power women had over him. Something about porn and fapping being sinful, and also that it was addictive and he had little control over it. So eventually he decided to become a eunuch and castrate himself. One night he injected some numbing agent, cut open his ballsack, pulled his testicles out and snipped them off. Then he tried to cauterize the area. At some point he passed out due to the pain and his parents found him passed out in a pool of blood with his diy surgery tools. After that he ended up in the hospital and posted some pictures of it, and of his stitched up nutsack.

He started off as some guy with a distinct posting style that would talk about AI (this was back before chat gpt so it was more theoretical rather than something you could spin up on your computer, mainly basic neural nets), along with religion, sin, how he wanted to convert from Judaism to Christianity, and other moral views and random bs. Then he castrated himself and posted the story. Pic related are the only screenshots I could find from some of the threads. I can’t seem to find the one with the photos of the aftermath (not sure I’d post that if I found it because it was pretty gross).

After that incident he gradually stopped posting about AI, religion, and the usual topics and got really into veganism. He’d post vegan propaganda and pictures of animals in slaughterhouses saying something about how people complain about not being accepted but are ok with animals being killed for food. He'd post the same threads on 4chan and 8chan every week or so. The veganism and some changes in his personality were probably caused by having low test from becoming a eunuch.


Anyways that was probably the most extreme person I’ve encountered online. I guess transgenderism is more common now and the surgeries are more drastic than that. The whole DIY surgery aspect is wild though. If you think of the most extreme people like Jihadis and the 9/11 hijackers, they’ll do some crazy things that no one else would do for some abstract religious goal. I can’t imagine any of them agreeing to cut open their sack with a science playkit scalpel, and then snip off each testicle to accomplish a mission or make their God happy. They’ll do crazy things and blow themselves up but I think that’s a line they wouldn’t cross (not that that's an option, or that becoming a eunuch is practical in any way.)
