Is it just me or does anyone else have that one uncle who constantly rants about how Burundi got divided by Germans and Belgians and how its true borders span all the way to Ankole and Kigezi in southwestern Uganda in the north, include all of Kivu and and Ituri with northwestern Tanzania included for good measure?

Seriously, he is a rather chill guy but he has a giant map of Greater Burundi hanging over his bed and whenever someone even for a second mentions Africa he goes on a half an hour yapping spree about how Burundians are the only real nation in the Great Lakes.

Dude writes elaborates on daily basis about Burundis ethnic right to Eastern DRC and how geographically they naturally should own Kigoma and Kagera.

Every few months when he feels confident and ballsy, he sends 60 page pdf's to UN Security Council urging them to recognize Burundis rights to these territories on social, economic, geographic, ethnic and ethnic basis, think he even sent one of his more fancy ones to UN General Secretary.


Word is he even attempted to get in touch with Burundian ambassador and tried to convince him to hand over his proposal to African Union in an attempt to make it an agenda for their next meeting.


Please dont tell me im the only one with this experience.
